The easiest way to get to Malapascua Island is via Cebu City. Go to the Cebu North Bus Terminal and take a Ceres Liner bus bound for Maya Port.
The buses will drop you off right outside Maya Port. The travel costs approximately 615 PHP (~8 USD) (including bus, boat, and environmental fees) and takes about 4 hours.

The most convenient way to get to Malapascua Island is to charter a private car or van from Mactan Airport or any point in Cebu City to Maya Port. The travel time will be reduced to 3 hours and 30 minutes. Then, catch the boat to Malapascua Island.

The first trip to Malapascua Island is at 5:00 AM, and the last trip is at 5:00 PM. However, I would advise against catching the last trip because there’s a chance that there will be no other passengers, hence you might be forced to pay for the entire boat.
