1. SMAK’s Hotel – Best Budget Hotel in Bantayan Island
SMAK’s Hotel is a small typical tropical island hotel located in the middle of Poblacion Santa Fe. The rooms are new and squeaky clean, plus they have all the facilities you need to make some work.
There are so many things to love about this hotel. Everything you need is within walking distance—bars, restaurants, eateries, pharmacies, and convenience stores. The nearest beaches are Kota Beach and Sugar Beach, which are a 3-minute walk away.
Some of SMAK’s Hotels’ in-house facilities include a restaurant, a bar, a garden, and free private parking for scooters. The hotel also has a shared kitchen, shared lounge/terrace, and balcony for select rooms.
Inside the rooms are fluffy pillows and blankets, a clean toilet and bathroom, a narrow work desk, a flat-screen TV, an aircon, a safe vault, and a closet. If I’m being nitpicky, the microfiber towels are a big disappointment for me.
We personally LOVED our 3D2N stay at SMAK’s Hotel recently for so many reasons worth pointing out. First, the husband and wife owners are very hands-on with the operations of their hotel. They are very generous and helpful. We had a sort of scooter bike with my sister and the wife was so thoughtful to take care of us. Second, the staff members are very polite and accommodating. Claire was an awesome front desk attendant. Hands down!
