Kawasan Falls is the most popular waterfall in Cebu, located in Barangay Matutinao, Badian. It has several tiers with various plunge pools where you can swim, chill, or jump from the cliffs.
A few steps from the fall’s main tier, you will find a couple of cliff-jumping spots. The highest jump at Kawasan Falls is 10 and 12 meters high. If you take the Kawasan Falls canyoneering, you will pass by these cliff-diving spots.
There are plenty of food stalls going to the fall’s main tier where you can buy fresh coconut, banana cue (fried plantains coated in brown sugar), camote cue (fried sweet potatoes coated in brown sugar), a variety of rice cakes, and other local delicacies. There are also souvenir shops selling beaded accessories and Kawasan-themed shirts.
The best time to visit Kawasan Falls is early morning when crowds have not arrived yet.

2. Tumalog Falls (Oslob)
One of the most visited waterfalls in Cebu, Tumalog Falls cannot be missed if you are in Oslob for the whale shark watching activity or for a trip to Sumilon Island. The trek to the fall is pretty easy. As you reach the foot of the fall, you will be in awe of the sheer size of the fall—both its width and height.

3. Mantayupan Falls (Barili)
Standing at 98 meters tall, Mantayupan Falls is the tallest waterfall in Cebu. Located in Barangay Campangga, locals know this magnificent fall as Ambakan, which loosely translates to “jump-off point” in Cebuano.
Getting to the main fall, you will pass by three smaller falls that are 14 meters tall. Ultimately, the trek up and down Mantayupan Falls will be one of your most therapeutic experiences in Cebu.

4. Dao Falls (Samboan)
Dao Falls is one of the most popular waterfalls in Cebu, standing at 120 meters, making it the second tallest in the province. Located in Barangay Suba, Dao Falls is the tallest and only one of the many waterfalls in Samboan that tourists may visit.
Sometimes spelled Dau Falls, the trek to Dao Falls is easy to moderate and takes about 20 minutes. However, there’s a part near the uppermost tier where your grip and leg strength will be tested. A lot of tourists complained about the irrelevance of tour guides. But based on my experience, I think they are necessary. Note also that during the rainy season, it might get too slippery along the way. These guides are there to guide you where to step.

5. Aguinid Falls (Samboan)
Another popular waterfall in Samboan, Aguinid Falls is distinct for its multi-tier waterfall system that runs for a few kilometers along Tangbo River. Located in Barangay Tangbo, Aguinid Falls has at least 8 levels that take about 2-3 hours to complete.
The trek is not just any trek, though. Along the way, you will pass by various streams, mini-falls, and shallow plunge pools filled with coral-blue water. Aguinid Falls is definitely a must if you are in South Cebu. Do note that Wednesday is the cleaning day of the falls, so you will only be able to access 2 levels.

6. Inambakan Falls (Ginatilan)
Of all the waterfalls in Ginatilan, Inambakan Falls is the most popular. Located in Barangay Calabawan, Inambakan Falls is pretty accessible to tourists, unlike most waterfalls in South Cebu. Nevertheless, you need to climb 400 steps to reach the falls.
Inambakan Falls is only one level. You can choose to go further up to 5 levels of falls, including Bugnawan Falls, Kampael Falls, Kabutongan Falls, and Hidden Falls. Going to Inambakan Falls does not need a guide. But if you decide to proceed to the other falls, it’s best to get a guide.

7. Cambais Falls (Alegria)
One of the most popular falls in Alegria is Cambais Falls, a multi-tier waterfall system located in Barangay Guadalupe. It takes about 20 minutes to get to the first section of the falls and then a couple of minutes more to get to the main falls.
Cambais Falls has not been developed to the likes of Kawasan Falls, so the trek going to the falls might not be the easiest as there are no visible signages to lead visitors. Nevertheless, Cambais Falls is worth exploring if you just want to be surrounded by nature for the day.

8. Wonderfalls (Alegria)
Accessible only through guided tours for safety reasons, Wonderfalls is the starting point of newer canyoneering activities in Alegria. Having the same water source as Kawasan Falls and limestone gorges, the experience is almost the same. The difference? Wondefalls has not been on the radar of many tourists yet.
There will be 9 jumps overall. The highest jump would be from a 50-foot cliff, which is higher than the canyoneering in Kawasan Falls. All tourists are transported to Wonderfalls for the canyoneering activity. The meeting place will be at the office of your tour agency.

9. Budlaan Falls (Cebu City)
Named after its barangay, Budlaan Falls is one of the best waterfalls in Cebu City located in the hinterland. Locals call it “Kabang Falls.” It has 7 tiers. The highest tier is about 15 meters tall.
The hike to the falls takes about 30 minutes. The trail is your typical dirt trail, so it might be challenging to go there in the rainy season. You also want to avoid rainy days since the flowing water becomes muddy brown, hence fitting for swimming.

10. Binalayan Falls (Samboan)
Located in Barangay Bonbon, Binalayan Falls is one of the most popular falls in Samboan. It is not the grandest by any means. However, Binalayan Falls, also known as Hidden Falls, is unique among the bunch for its three-stripe drop.
The trek to the main falls is pretty easy and takes about 20 minutes to finish. If you are the adventurous type, you have many spots to jump from when you get there. Be careful, though, as the water is only 8 feet deep.

11. Ka-Tinggo Falls (Catmon)
There are not many nice falls in North Cebu. But Ka-Tinggo Falls is an exception. Located in Barangay Duyan, the falls is a popular attraction, accessible via Esoy Hot Spring. The trek to the falls takes about 10 minutes and involves passing through a hanging bridge and some massive rock formations.

12. Panganuron Falls (Camotes Island)
If you are visiting Camotes Island, drop by Panganuron Falls located in Barangay Libertad in Poro. This waterfall has not been developed yet, so you can expect getting there can get a bit challenging. It takes about 45 minutes to get to Panganuron Falls. But once you get there, you will definitely enjoy the falls all to yourself, surrounded by lush greenery and the chattering sound of nature.

13. Lusno Falls (Ronda)
A waterfall reminiscent of Samboan’s Aguinid Falls, Lusno Falls is a must-visit located in Barangay Anajao. Since it has not been developed for drawing tourists, getting to Lusno Falls can be a bit challenging due to unpaved roads and confusing dirt trails. There are also no visible signages that lead you to the falls. The best way to get there is to get a local (usually kids) to help you get there.
