Boracay is one of the most expensive islands in the Philippines. If you are visiting the island soon, you still have a bunch of options for top-rated affordable hotels and resorts. In this guide, we carefully selected the best budget accommodations in Boracay Island.

As one of the world’s best islands, Boracay is one of the must-visit tourist destinations in the Philippines. With its long stretch of dreamy white sand beach, vibrant party scene, and world-class island living, you can’t miss Boracay when visiting the Philippines.

However, Boracay isn’t the most budget-friendly place. Between El Nido, Coron, Cebu, Siargao, and Boracay, I can confidently say Boracay tops the list in terms of cost. From activities to food to accommodations, you need to prepare a big chunk of your budget for Boracay.

But don’t fret. Opting for more affordable accommodations in Boracay can help you save a lot. And this is what this guide is all about.

A decent hotel or resort in Boracay would set you back around $50 per night. Anything cheaper would most likely mean the property could be located in the outskirts or a neighborhood I would not recommend.

Choosing the Best Budget Accommodations in Boracay

When finding accommodations in Boracay in general, most hotels and resorts are located in Stations 1, 2, and 3. These properties either face White Beach or are located nearby. Choose Station 1 or 3 if you want a more relaxed environment but still have access to basic services; Station 2 if you are looking for bars and clubs.

More high-end properties are located in Yapak, the northern part of the island, which is quite far from the fun and craziness of Stations 1, 2, and 3. Bulabog is where some nice properties can be found that are not as expensive as those in Stations 1, 2, and 3. A lot of the budget-friendly accommodations in Boracay are located between these stations and Bulabog.

Our Boracay Island budget accommodation recommendations are based on our personal experience. We also take into account factors such as:

  • Location. Is it accessible to basic services?
  • Internet. Is it fast enough to get some work done?
  • Price. Is it competitive and reasonable?
  • Cleanliness. Is it clean, orderly, and well-maintained?
  • Staff. Is the staff courteous, polite, and accommodating?

We also want to emphasize that real guest experiences were a huge factor when we came up with our recommendations. Here are our top picks for the best budget accommodations in Boracay Island:
