Ceres Liner is the only bus company that travels directly from Cebu City to Camotes Island. There are two ways to get to Camotes Island—Danao to Consuelo, Camotes and Liloan to Poro, Camotes.

If you’re coming from Cebu City, the most convenient way would be to take the bus directly from Cebu City to Camotes via Pier 88. This is what this guide is all about.

How to Go to Camotes from Cebu City

To get to Camotes Island from Cebu City, head over to Cebu North Bus Terminal (see map) near SM City Cebu. If you come from Mactan-Cebu International Airport (MCIA), take MyBus to the MyBus Terminal at SM City Cebu, which is just beside the Cebu North Bus Terminal. The trip costs 50 PHP (~1 USD) and takes 30-45 minutes, depending on the traffic situation.

If you come from the Cebu South Bus Terminal, you need to wait for modern jeepneys with codes 10H, 10M, or  12I to pass by outside the terminal to get you to SM City Cebu. The fare is 15 PHP.

At Cebu North Bus Terminal, take a Ceres Liner bus to Camotes Island. The schedule below shows the best time.

If you don’t want to wait for the next scheduled bus, you can take any northbound bus and just let the driver or conductor know that you are getting off at Pier 88 in Liloan. You will be dropped along the highway, so you need to walk about 200 meters to the pier, where you can buy your ferry ticket to Poro, Camotes Island. The bus fare is 50 PHP (~1 USD), while the ferry ticket starts at 390 PHP (~7 USD).

Ceres Liner buses wait at Cebu North Bus Terminal near SM City Cebu (see map). Note that the 3:45 AM and 4:15 AM buses will be loaded to the 5:05 am Aznar Shipping schedule.

Meanwhile, the 7:15 AM and 7:45 AM buses will be loaded to the 9:00 am Super Shuttle Ferry schedule. This means that if you take the 3:45 AM and 7:15 AM buses, your waiting at Pier 88 will be longer.
