How to Get to Siquijor from Cebu City

You have 3 options to go to Siquijor from Cebu City: via a direct trip, via Liloan Port, and via Dumaguete City.

Option #1: Direct Ferry Trip from Cebu City to Siquijor

This is the fastest and most convenient option since it’s a direct trip from Cebu City Pier 1 to Larena Port in Siquijor.

  1. Go to Cebu Pier 1 and get a ticket. Oceanjet Fastcraft takes 4 hours and costs 1,200 PHP (~22 USD). Lite Shipping takes 9 hours and costs 500 PHP (~9 USD).
  2. Take a habal-habal/tricycle to your hotel. If you stay in San Juan, chartering a habal-habal/tricycle to Siquijor town would cost 200-250 PHP (~4-5 USD) and San Juan would cost 400-500 PHP (~8-10 USD) for the whole trip.

NOTE: Oceanjet and Lite Ferries have scheduled direct trips from Pier 1 in Cebu City to Larena Pier in Siquijor.

Option #2: Via Liloan Port (Bus + Ferry)

Liloan Port is located in Santander on the southernmost tip of Cebu Island. It takes 1 bus and 1 ferry ride to get to Siquijor via this route.

This is the most affordable way to get to Siquijor from Cebu City. However, this port does not have daily trips to Siquijor and the ferry schedule might not fit yours.

  1. Go to Cebu South Bus Terminal. Take a Ceres Liner bus bound for Siquijor. Fare is 466 PHP (~9 USD) if you get off in Maria town or 369 PHP (~7 USD) if you get off in Siquijor town. Travel time is 4 hours.
  2. Ceres Liner buses still hop on the roro. You still need to pay the ferry fare at Maayo Shipping’s ticket booth. Fare is 275 PHP (~5 USD). Travel time is 1 hour and 30 minutes.
