This is a modernized bangka or outrigger boat, which is smaller than a RORO but way larger and faster than a traditional wooden bangka. Including the loading and unloading and waiting time, the total travel time might come out to 2-3 hours.
Note that Quartel Beach in Oslob and Momo Beach in Panglao Island have no ports, so passengers will be transferred from the shore to the ferry through a smaller bangka.

How to Get Bohol from Oslob, Cebu
The best way to get to Bohol from Oslob is to take a ferry from Quartel Beach. The total travel time is 2-3 hours, costing around 1,000 PHP (~17.5 USD).
Alternatively, you can take a bus from Oslob to Cebu City and then take an OceanJet ferry from Cebu City to Tagbilaran City. Take a tricycle to Dumaguete Port where you then board an OceanJet ferry to Tagbilaran City.
Friendly Reminders
A lot of people have complained about their experience along this route. So it’s important to take some reminders for this trip so you know what to expect:
- There are no ports at Quartel Beach in Oslob and Momo Beach in Panglao Island, Bohol. That means you will be transferred from the shore to the boat via a smaller boat. This requires walking in the water, so better to wear slippers or sandals.
- Rough seas are expected during the wet months between June and September. Your luggage might get wet due to water splashes.
- Trip cancellations are normal too due to bad weather. Don’t mope. Your safety is far more important!
