Windmills, flowers, and greenery—Sirao Garden will remind you of the Netherlands, making it aptly called “Cebu’s Little Amsterdam.”

Along with other viral tourist attractions in Cebu such as the 10,000 Roses Café in Cordova and Buwakan ni Alejandra in Balamban is this garden that has also been making waves on social media. You may have perhaps seen photos of your friends or relatives touring this garden.

Located in Barangay Sirao, this garden is blooming with celosia flowers in different colors—yellow, orange, and fuchsia—not to mention the windmills that will remind you of Amsterdam in the Netherlands. Other flowers like hyacinths, daffodils, and tulips can also be found here.

Sirao Garden came to be out of serendipity. It all started when a couple planted flowering plants whose flowers they wished to sell on All Saints’ Day and All Souls’ Day.

However, when they noticed their garden was attracting visitors, they decided instead not to cut the flowers, encouraging them to plant more. Today, it is one of the most popular tourist attractions in Cebu City.
